Andy Dick has checked out of rehab less than two months after entering treatment.
The longtime sitcom star confirmed on Monday that he has left the rehab facility he entered in early December and is now living at a sober living home near Beverly Hills.
According to TMZ, which spoke to him about it, this move is part of the next phase of his recovery, and not an abandonment of it. He’s taking things one day at a time, staying focused on sobriety, and trying to transition back into some version of stability. For anyone who has followed Andy’s long and very public struggles, that phrase ‘one day at a time’ feels especially loaded, but also necessary.

Back in December, Andy entered rehab in the Palm Springs area with the help of longtime friend and former Celebrity Rehab costar Jennifer Gimenez and her husband, Tim Ryan. At the time, he expressed gratitude for the help and said he was motivated to turn his life around. Jennifer and Tim didn’t just offer emotional support, either; they reportedly helped secure him a full ride scholarship to the treatment center, meaning finances were not a barrier to him getting care. Which is huge!
This rehab stay came on the heels of a deeply unsettling incident late last year. As we reported at the time, video surfaced of Andy slumped over on a Hollywood street while bystanders administered Narcan to revive him. Paramedics arrived at the scene, and while he was not taken to the hospital, the image itself was hard to forget.
Andy has long been a complicated figure, remembered both for his comedic talent and for the chaos that has followed him for years.
Now, let’s just hope he’s in a good and healthy place following this rehab stint. Sending love and light!
