Harshit Rana shared a light-hearted memory that perfectly showcased Virat Kohli’s playful nature, taking fans back to the celebrations following India’s Champions Trophy triumph in 2025.

Rana explained that although he was part of the squad, he did not play in the final. When he entered the dressing room after the victory, he met Anushka Sharma for the very first time. “I walked in, and Anushka Sharma was there. Since it was my first meeting with her, I addressed her as ‘ma’am,’” Rana told MensXP.

Kohli, however, quickly turned the moment into a joke. “He immediately said, ‘tu ma’am kyu bol raha hai inko? Bhabhi bol inko,’” Rana recalled with a laugh. Rana tried to justify himself, saying it was their first interaction, but Kohli continued to tease him. “He told her that I am like this — just a while ago I poured champagne on him, and now I am calling you ma’am,” Rana added.

When asked if Kohli is as humorous in real life as he sometimes appears on camera, Rana confirmed, “A lot, he enjoys jokes a lot.”

Though Kohli is widely known for his intensity and focus on the field, especially during his captaincy when India set new benchmarks in fitness and competitiveness, anecdotes like these reveal his lighter side — a leader who ensures the dressing room remains relaxed and positive.

Meanwhile, Harshit Rana has been steadily making his mark as one of India’s promising fast bowlers since his international debut in 2024.
