Meanwhile, Deepika enjoyed a Backstreet Boys concert in Las Vegas and is preparing for upcoming films including King with Shah Rukh Khan and Atlee’s project with Allu Arjun.

Deepika Padukone Crafts Her First Modak, Ranveer Singh Marks Dhurandhar’s Success with Chef Vikas Khanna in NYC

Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone welcomed the New Year in New York, ending 2025 on a festive note. During their vacation, the couple visited celebrity chef Vikas Khanna’s restaurant, Bungalow, where they celebrated the blockbuster success of Ranveer’s film Dhurandhar with a sweet Indian tradition. Deepika tried her hand at making her very first modak under Khanna’s guidance, while Ranveer joined in the celebrations.

On Instagram, Vikas Khanna shared a video from the flower-adorned restaurant, showing Deepika learning to shape modaks as Ranveer looked on. The chef was also seen offering modaks to the duo, with Dhurandhar’s title track playing in the background.

Khanna captioned the moment: “This has to be the most blessed end to 2025 — a new beginning in honor of India. Team Bungalow had the privilege of celebrating with Ranveer & Deepika her first modak. Guests today will enjoy pomegranate & cardamom modaks for an auspicious start to 2026. Celebrating DHURANDHAR — standing taller than any film in the world.” He added that creating modaks using molds from Siddhivinayak Temple, while standing before his parents’ wedding photo, left him humbled.

The couple has been enjoying family time in New York while Dhurandhar continues its box office run since its December 5 release. Deepika also checked off a bucket-list moment by attending the Backstreet Boys concert at the Sphere in Las Vegas with her friend Sneha Ramachander.

On the professional front, Ranveer is preparing for Dhurandhar 2, scheduled to release on March 19, 2026. The first installment, directed by Aditya Dhar, has already grossed Rs 722.75 crore. Ranveer stars as Hamza, an Indian agent infiltrating Rehman Dakait’s gang in Lyari, Pakistan. The film also features Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, Rakesh Bedi, Sara Arjun, Arjun Rampal, R Madhavan, and others.

Meanwhile, Deepika will next appear in King alongside Shah Rukh Khan and is also part of Atlee’s highly anticipated project with Allu Arjun.
