Krystle D’Souza on Performing Live with Ranveer Singh at Dhurandhar’s Music Launch

Krystle D’Souza has set audiences grooving with Shararat, one of the chartbuster tracks from Dhurandhar. Featuring alongside Ayesha Khan in the dance number, Krystle recalled her unexpected live performance with Ranveer Singh during the film’s grand music launch in Mumbai.

In an exclusive chat with Zoom, Krystle revealed she was completely unprepared for the moment. “Trust me, I wasn’t ready even 1%. If I had known, I wouldn’t have worn a saree. I usually stick to dresses and pants, but that day I just felt like wearing a saree,” she laughed. She explained that she was told she only needed to sit, vibe, and enjoy while singers Jasmine Sandlas and Madhubanti Bagchi performed Shararat on stage.

However, things took a surprising turn when Ranveer Singh suddenly asked her to join him. “Ranveer looked at me and said, ‘Krystle, this is your song. Let’s go.’ He literally held my hand and pulled me on stage. His aura and energy are electrifying—you just want to match up,” she shared.

Krystle added that she didn’t consciously try to keep up with Ranveer’s energy; it happened naturally. “Obviously, I can’t be on his level—it’s next level—but I tried. We just danced. It didn’t feel like a stage performance; it felt like being in a club, living in the moment. I enjoyed it so much,” she said.

Meanwhile, Dhurandhar continues its successful run in theatres.
