Dharmendra, celebrated for his stellar screen presence and versatility across romance, comedy, and action, leaves behind a body of work that has deeply influenced Indian cinema. His passing has triggered messages of grief from leaders, colleagues, and fans across the country.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also expressed his sorrow, calling Dharmendra an actor who brought “charm and depth” to every role. He wrote that the star was admired not only for his performances but also for his simplicity and warmth, adding that his passing “marks the end of an era in Indian cinema.”

Tributes from the film industry echo similar sentiments.
