Mrunal Thakur Responds to Wedding Buzz with Dhanush, Calls Herself ‘Grounded’ and ‘Unshaken’
Mrunal Thakur has shut down wedding rumours linking her to Dhanush, calling the reports baseless. Sharing a calm Instagram post, she described herself as “grounded” and “unshaken.” While gossip about their alleged romance has circulated since 2025, sources confirm no wedding is planned. Meanwhile, Mrunal gears up for her upcoming film Dacoit: A Love Story, releasing on Eid 2026.
Bollywood star Mrunal Thakur, who has often been linked with Tamil actor Dhanush, has finally addressed the swirling wedding rumours. On January 17, 2026, she posted a serene video on Instagram, standing on a boat surrounded by calm waters and golden light, describing herself as “unshaken” and “grounded.”
Speculation about a Valentine’s Day wedding on February 14, 2026 gained traction after reports on January 16 claimed the two were planning an intimate ceremony. However, insiders quickly dismissed the chatter as “fake and baseless,” clarifying that neither actor has confirmed any such plans.
The rumours first sparked in August 2025, when Mrunal warmly greeted Dhanush at the premiere of Son of Sardaar 2. A viral clip from the event fueled speculation about a possible romance, though both stars have remained private and avoided confirming any relationship.
A source close to Mrunal has now put the speculation to rest, stating: “Mrunal is not getting married next month. This is just a rumour that caught wind.”
On the professional front, Mrunal was last seen in Son of Sardaar 2 alongside Ajay Devgn. She will next appear in Shaneil Deo’s action thriller Dacoit: A Love Story with Adivi Sesh and Anurag Kashyap, releasing on March 19, 2026, during Eid. The film is set to clash with Yash’s Toxic and Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar 2.
