RHOBH Alum Crystal Kung Minkoff Was ALSO Kicked Out Of Ashley Tisdale's 'Toxic' Mom Group: 'I Will Say...'

Ashley Tisdale is not the only one who was kicked out of her “toxic” mom group! The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Crystal Kung Minkoff has also been exiled!

As Perezcious readers know, the High School Musical alum has been in the hot seat ever since writing an essay for The Cut exposing her former friends as being “toxic” and “mean” by cutting her out of their mom group (though she was ultimately the one to send them a text and remove herself from the “high school” drama after she was left out one too many times). There’s been a lot of back and forth about what really happened and whose to blame. But it turns out, Ashley isn’t the only one who has been excommunicated!

Crystal Kung Minkoff spilled the tea on Monday’s episode of her Humble Brag podcast while chatting with Million Dollar Listing‘s Tracy Tutor, revealing:

“I know, probably, 70 percent of the mom group because we all went to preschool together. We’re all the same group. One went to the same high school as us.”

Acknowledging the mom group drama is “everywhere” right now and has gotten “so big” after the essay, the reality star wanted to give fans a “broader” perspective:

“I don’t want to give too much tea about it because it’s their personal stuff. I just found it really interesting. I posted on Threads the other day a joke, like, ‘Oh, this is so 2021, I already went through this.’”

She wrote:

“Me, realizing I wasn’t mentioned in Ashley Tisdale’s ‘losing friends’ article ????… didn’t I literally start that trend back in 2021? #14friends #rhobh #trendsetter oh and fun fact: my childhood bestie is in that photo! “

Oh, s**t! Revealing more on the pod, the Bravo star dished:

“What I found interesting is that Ashley’s story was that she left the group, and my story is [that] I didn’t leave the group. I did the show, and they just said — I did a whole episode about this so it’s not untold — they all went against me and dropped me.”

Ouch!

And she did do a whole episode titled “14 friends” exactly this time last year! You can catch up on that here:

In the new podcast episode, she pointed out that the Disney Channel star is “getting all the heat” because it’s a “super celeb group” — which seemingly includes Meghan Trainor, Mandy Moore, and Hilary Duff (though Ashley has denied the rumors that her essay was about them). Minkoff kinda called Ashley out on the decision to go public, adding:

“I just wonder, what was she thinking was gonna happen?”

She was inviting the drama… Oof.

As for what the group’s like, the podcaster recalled there being issues for a long time:

“That’s not my group. I just know them all because we were all the same preschool. I remember there [were] issues then. Someone wasn’t included.”

And she has a soft spot for the 40-year-old:

“I do think that if that was happening to her, she wasn’t reading it wrong. You know, if you’re being pushed out.”

Innerestingly, Crystal revealed she actually messaged one of the alleged toxic moms mixed up in this mess, and she got a peculiar response:

“I was like, ‘I gotta know what’s going on.’ They said, ‘It’s so ironic that we’re the toxic ones and she’s on her own.’ I have mixed feelings about it, because I know this group. I don’t know Ashley at all. I’ve met Ashley a couple times, but I don’t know her at all.”

Part of her mixed feelings are probably tied to the fact that Ashley is getting “a lot of s**t right now” because people like Hilary are “so beloved” in Hollywood. It’s tough to go up against their fans! Comparing their exits, she said:

“Ashley’s getting 90 percent hate. I kept mine private. I didn’t want anyone to know. It all came from other sources.”

Because of everything she went through, she does “feel connected” to Ashley’s side of things, even if she “didn’t know the players” in the scandal:

“I went through this. I lived it. So my initial [feeling] is I feel for all sides, because I know the group. I will say, someone like Hillary, I’ve known her for 10 years. Super sweet. I cannot see her being a mean girl like that, but it’s dynamic. So, I feel for Ashley.”

She’s obviously trying to walk the line while understanding this is a complicated situation for them all to be in! But it sucks that she’s faced this kind of behavior from the same women before!
