🌟 Shilpa Shetty at 50: Inside Her Daily Diet That Keeps Her Looking Timeless
At 50, Shilpa Shetty continues to stun with her youthful glow and toned physique. The actress credits her age-defying looks to a clean, balanced diet and mindful eating habits. From starting her mornings with noni juice and fibre-rich breakfasts to ending her day with light soups and salads, her routine reflects simplicity and discipline.
Even at 50, Shilpa Shetty remains one of Bollywood’s fittest stars, defying age with her radiant appearance and enviable figure. In an earlier interview with Pinkvilla, the Dhadkan actress revealed that her secret lies in following a simple, wholesome diet.
Her mornings begin with a glass of warm water mixed with a few drops of noni juice, followed by oil pulling using cold-pressed coconut oil for about ten minutes. She usually wakes around 7 a.m., with breakfast scheduled between 7:30 and 8 a.m.
Breakfast is fibre-rich, often oats or muesli paired with fruits such as bananas, grated apples, or blueberries. To keep sugar intake minimal, she opts for natural sweeteners like honey or jaggery. On some days, she enjoys a smoothie made with almond milk, banana, oats, honey, and seasonal fruits. In her book The Great Indian Diet, co-authored with nutritionist Luke Coutinho, Shilpa also mentions starting her day at times with a mix of aloe vera juice, tulsi leaves, jaggery, and ginger.
By mid-morning, she includes protein in her diet — usually two eggs with raw avocado, whole wheat toast topped with butter, and a cup of tea. Lunch is her most substantial meal, typically brown rice with chicken or fish, accompanied by fresh salads or a nourishing yogi bowl filled with grains, greens, and vegetables.
Her evening snacks vary between sandwiches, eggs, or roasted makhanas paired with low-fat hummus or avocado dip. Dinner is kept light and is usually served between 7:30 and 8 p.m. It often consists of soup, grilled dishes, or mushroom hotpot rice, sometimes complemented by a salad of tomato, sprouts, apple, beetroot, and lettuce.
Potential Benefits of Noni Juice
According to WebMD, noni juice may help cleanse the immune system, protect DNA from tobacco-related damage, regulate lipid levels, lower homocysteine, and reduce inflammation. Early studies also suggest it may aid weight loss when combined with a balanced diet and exercise, possibly by supporting lean muscle mass and promoting sustainable results.
