Suhana Khan on Parents’ Guidance: Shah Rukh and Gauri Have the Final Word in Her Choices

Mumbai: Rising star Suhana Khan, daughter of Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan and producer Gauri Khan, has opened up about how her parents continue to shape her journey. While Suhana is keen to explore and experiment with her career decisions, she admits that her parents ultimately have the last word when it comes to important choices.

Suhana Speaks About Her Decision-Making

In a recent conversation with Harper’s Bazaar India, Suhana revealed that her instincts often guide her, supported by logic and a fair amount of overthinking. Yet, whenever uncertainty strikes, she turns to her parents.

“They get the final say,” Suhana candidly shared.

She described her father’s advice as poetic and layered, offering broad reflections on life, while her mother’s guidance is sharp and straightforward, cutting through complexity. Together, their contrasting styles help Suhana find balance and clarity.

Suhana’s Acting Journey

Suhana made her acting debut in 2023 with The Archies, Zoya Akhtar’s teen musical set in 1960s Riverdale. The film, featuring Agastya Nanda, Khushi Kapoor, Vedang Raina, Mihir Ahuja, Aditi ‘Dot’ Saigal, and Yuvraj Menda, received mixed reviews but marked Suhana’s entry into Bollywood.

She is now preparing for her big-screen debut in King (2026), where she will share the screen with her father Shah Rukh Khan. Directed by Siddharth Anand, the film also stars Deepika Padukone, Jackie Shroff, Anil Kapoor, Rani Mukerji, Abhishek Bachchan, Arshad Warsi, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Abhay Verma. Shah Rukh is personally training Suhana in action sequences for the project.
