It Ends With Us Author Colleen Hoover Reveals She Has Cancer Amid Continued Stress Of Blake Lively & Justin Baldoni's Legal Battle!

Colleen Hoover has some sad news to share with everyone…

On Monday, the It Ends With Us author revealed she has been battling cancer. She shared a picture of herself in a hospital gown on Instagram Stories, saying she has been undergoing radiation therapy at Texas Oncology. Colleen wrote:

“Second to last day of radiation! I wish I could blame my hair and facial expressions on @texas.oncology, but they’ve been pretty great. Hope you never need them, but highly recommend them.”

Colleen has not shared what type of cancer she has. However, it turns out the Verity writer first announced her diagnosis on her private Facebook fanpage back in December, per a screenshot posted by content creator Katyinck. She explained she spent much of 2025 on the set of the upcoming film adaptation of her novel Reminders of Him in Canada, but “had recurring health issues that I continued to put off until the movie was finished.” But when she got home, she sadly found out she had cancer.

According to Colleen, the cancer was “removed through surgery,” and she had to undergo radiation afterward. Oof. Take a look at her post (below):

Colleen shared another update in a Facebook post on Friday, saying:

“I got results back today from the geneticist that say my cancer did not come from family genes. It also didn’t come from the two main causes of the cancer, which are HPV and excessive hormones. This means it was more than likely environmental/lifestyle, which is lack of exercise, poor diet and stress.”

Yikes! She has been dealing with a lot of “stress” lately, all thanks to the nasty legal battle between her It Ends With Us stars Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively!
